My Priorities Right Now

With my wife having a mastectomy and breast reconstruction, I've been her full time nurse. I stayed with her in the hospital and slept on a recliner in her room. Now that she's home, she's in a recliner and I sleep next to her on the couch. It'a been two weeks and I really miss my bed! But right now I need to be close in case she needs something.

My daughter from Maryland came in to help, then son from San Francisco, then my daughter from Univ. of Michigan. Fortunately, Casey is handling the processing of our orders at the studio, especially seniors. I've been working in between at home on the EBHS ladies soccer team slide show. It's my 9th year being their entertainment and it's a very long project to complete. Thousands of images get boiled down to a 30 minute show with music. It's a challenge.

Rachael, the UM daughter, designed a breast cancer tee shirt for her sorority and they sold an unbelievable $15,000 worth of tee shirts. Wow! It said "Go Blue!" on one side and "Think Pink" on the back with the P made from a pink ribbon.

    Hi David,

Thanks for the marketing info. I just came to your blog to check content since we are considering starting one.

Most blog topics are on fairly light topics. Not this one. But I'm glad your family has allowed you to put a real face and name on it. We belong to NILMDTS and sometimes reflect on how people do not realize the pain some are going through on the other side of the hospital walls. Life is so fragile. While you have it it should always be treated with respect and appreciation.

    Best regards,
