Wow! We've been so busy with high school seniors, especially from East Brunswick, we just haven't kept up with the blog.
The new backgrounds we purchased over the winter have worked out great. We love using the 1948 International Harvester dump truck as a prop outdoors. The new customizable license plate background has been popular for guys and girls alike. Our new glamor magazine background is unique. It's all added up to more variety in less time for the seniors.
We're still doing yearbook photos. The deadline for photo submission to EBHS is Oct. 24th and most school are about the same.
We're having a great time photography "official" yearbook and senior portraits for the Class of '09. They've been a lot of fun. It's been great how they're bringing in hats and scarves and cool clothes.
You can now be photographed in, on,or by our 1948 antique dump truck outside of the studio. That's giving seniors another unique background they can't find anyplace else.
Just to let you know, we are currently fully booked with seniors the week of August 10-15th. Other dates are filling up. We only photographed 3-4 seniors a day.
Many calling for sessions commented on how they could tell who went to us last year by just looking at how good the senior yearbook photos in the EBHS Emerald yearbook. Thanks for noticing.
We've started to book session appointments, especially for the Class of 09'er who will be away for most of the summer. Looks like we're going to have a busy summer with seniors!
Very shortly a postcard will be going out to most of the Class of 09. It will have over 100 yearbook photos from Class of 08 on it. But the two images from Class of 09 on the back really make the postcard special.
We changed web hosting companies so there maybe a day or two you don't see our website. It can take 2-3 hours to 2-3 days for the changes to be seen by everyone on the web. Our blog slideshows seem to be missing and we'll try to re-upload them in a few days.
The winner of a custom 20"x30" print is Sara Parker!!!! She came on strong and kept going!
However, Lauren Casaretti has so many votes in second place we are going to make a second place prize. Not sure what that will be yet, but we'd like to give her something for a great effort.
Here are a few more "models" who have been to the studio for a free session. Free sessions are coming to an end soon so if you're thinking about it, give us a call now. It's a lot of fun and a great experience.

We’re still accepting “models” for another two or three weeks. “Models” help us test out new backgrounds and lighting and we will use some of their images on our website, blog and other places. We might run another Class of 2009 Idol Portfolio Contest if there’s interest. Models get some great goodies. It’s free. Have fun!

Fav 5 Bonus: Bring or send us the names, addresses, and email address of your Fav 5 classmates from the EBHS class of 2009. You'll get a free 30 minute photo session (usually can do yearbook and one change of cloths) in June or July (normally $30-60). You also get one image from the session to use on MySpace/Facebook or emailing. We make sure your Fav 5 get mailings and notice of any specials we're running and we might send them an image or two of you. There is a minimum purchase of just $75. That was easy!
5+35 Bonus: Bring in the names, addresses, and email address of your Fav 5 classmates from the EBHS Class of 2009 plus the names, addresses, and email address of 35 other EBHS juniors. This is easy to do: pass out sheets (we can provide) in classes, lunch, etc. (Note: if no email address, the name only counts as 1/2 a person toward the total count).
You receive a free 1 hour session (normally $60-$120) in June or July. This should be long enough for yearbook posses and 3 changes of cloths. In addition, you get an image for MySpace/Facebook, a 6-8 image slideshow for your iPod, cell phone, or website, including Myspace. Plus you'll receive an "Image Is Everything" tee-shirt. There is a minimum purchase of just $125.
I put up a few of the EBHS Girls Basketball posters in the high school today. I spoke to some of the students and they really liked them! "Awesome" was the comment I heard the most. It was one of the most complicated posters I've done and it took quite of bit of time. The idea was to produce something very different, feature the seniors, and make you stop in your tracks when you first see it.
I'm working on the EBHS Girls Bowling poster now. I've got a design in mind that should make it a great poster!
